We participate in various community events like local Maker Faires and generally support the local maker community through partnerships and collaborations. We share our enthusiasm for STEAM education through workshops, presentations, and popup events throughout Chicagoland.
We also partner with universities and other organizations on projects and research.

Scanning Electron Microscope
Do science, make art, or learn about microscopy! Our community SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) is open to everyone. The SEM allows us to explore textures smaller than a grain of dust using some really cool physics to go beyond what’s possible with visible light.
